On the heels of major news, mobeam adds another $1.5 million from new and existing investors

SAN FRANCISCO – MobilityWire® – February 6, 2012

Mobeam inc. (www.mobeam.com) announced today the company has added another $1.5 million on top of the $4.9 million Series A venture round announced in October 2011. The company adds new investor DFJ Athena, a Korea-focused venture fund affiliated with Draper Fisher Jurvetson, as well as new funds from existing investor and board chairman Ben DuPont. DFJ Athena’s founder and managing director, Perry Ha, also joins mobeam’s board of directors.

Today, couponing represents a growing $3.7 billion segment of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) market in North America, with more than 300 billion coupons distributed every year and redemption on the increase as consumers strive for greater value and savings. And while smartphones are supporting users and simplifying life in a host of new ways, until now, phone couponing has not been an option because barcodes displayed on mobile phone screens are invisible to commonly used in-store laser scanners.

The new funding follows the company’s announcement in December that it is partnering with Procter & Gamble to bring the first-ever fully mobile couponing system to market. The innovation makes electronic coupons presented on a phone or other mobile device scannable, so shoppers need only their phones/handhelds, not a stack of coupons, at checkout.

Mobeam’s patented technology overcomes the technical barrier preventing mobile phones from interacting with the laser scanners used at retail locations around the world. Funds from this multimillion dollar funding round will be used to establish mobeam’s light based communications (LBC) technology as a new industry standard allowing mobile phones to interact with point of sale (POS) technology. Mobeam is also using these new funds to accelerate business development efforts with major consumer and retail brands for mobile couponing and other broad mobile commerce initiatives.

“As is demonstrated by the partnership between mobeam and the world’s largest consumer packaged goods producer, P&G, coupons are the missing link in the mobile commerce value chain,” said Perry Ha, founder and managing director of DFJ Athena. “With a global retail infrastructure already in place that utilizes a very widely accepted standard for coupon scanning – one dimensional barcodes, or UPC symbols – what is necessary is for the mobile technology to embrace that infrastructure. The most elegant way to do that is through a software solution. With many handset makers in Korea, DFJ Athena believed investing in mobeam’s software based solution was an obvious choice.”

Due to the way mobile handset screens are constructed, even the most vibrantly displayed barcode cannot be read by the commonly used laser scanners found at point of sale in most retailers. Mobeam technology affordably adapts existing mobile technology to already deployed retail POS infrastructure, opening the door to a wide range of previously impossible mobile commerce programs and services.

Mobeam’s patented light based communication technology utilizes LED technology already present on the vast majority of handsets to transform barcodes into a beam of light that every laser scanner can read. This technology makes it possible, for the first time, for a phone to present a coupon that can be easily and conveniently scanned and redeemed, without the need for retailers to upgrade their technology. Beyond mobile couponing, mobeam’s technology brings applications such as mobile ticketing and other mobile content enabled services to the next level.

About mobeam

Mobeam, inc. is transforming mobile commerce with its unique and patented light based communications technology. Overcoming the technical barrier preventing mobile phones from interacting with laser scanners at checkout, mobeam’s technology provides universal access at point of sale (POS), enabling the transmission of coupons, gift cards, tickets and other barcode data at retailers worldwide. Mobeam’s technology powers new capabilities for existing mobile phone designs, and requires no changes to retailer POS infrastructure. Mobeam is headquartered in San Francisco, California. For more information visit www.mobeam.com.

SAN JOSE, Calif. – MobilityWire® – January 31, 2012

PaymentOne (www.paymentone.com), a global leader in mobile payments, and Live Gamer (www.livegamer.com), the world’s first combined digital commerce and advertising platform for the interactive entertainment industry, today announced that PaymentOne has been added to the Live Gamer platform to expand global mobile payment options. PaymentOne’s AnyPhone platform offers end users the simplest means possible for making in-game purchases with their mobile phones.

Through this partnership, PaymentOne becomes an integrated payment provider in Live Gamer’s platform, enabling AnyPhone as a mobile payment option for Live Gamer’s impressive list of customers. PaymentOne’s white label brand strategy is key to these customers as they are able to streamline the user experience and maintain brand consistency throughout the payment process.

“PaymentOne’s proven expertise and broad global solution made our decision to partner with the company to expand our worldwide mobile payment options an easy one,” said Andrew Schneider, president and co-founder of Live Gamer. “We are excited to offer our game developer and publisher partners the opportunity to leverage PaymentOne’s broad coverage spanning more than 80 countries as a way to maximize their monetization opportunities, expand their customer reach and ultimately increase their revenue streams.”

With flexibility to simply charge one time transactions and/or recurring subscriptions to mobile, landline and broadband bills, PaymentOne’s AnyPhone provides the highest conversion rates, best payouts and fastest payment cycles in the industry – as fast as 7 days, and always features the merchant and operator brands, not its own.

AnyPhone allows consumers to make a safe and secure digital purchase by billing the transaction using their mobile, home or broadband phone number, with the charge appearing on the consumer’s carrier bill. Instead of losing failed or rejected transactions, AnyPhone’s patented technology allows the consumer to enter any number they own for billing purposes. The platform automatically identifies the type of number and best billing account, and then routes the payment process for a simple and frictionless consumer experience.

PaymentOne partners enjoy the broadest coverage spanning more than 80 countries and 4 billion consumers, merchant-centric branding, patented fraud mitigation and risk management capabilities, and the benefit of a profitable and financially secure partner with more than 12 years history in the alternative payments space.

PaymentOne has already processed in excess of $5 billion in direct to carrier billings with micro transactions typical of in-game purchases and game subscriptions for clients including Blizzard Entertainment, America Online, Gaia and WeeWorld.

Live Gamer customers can add their own merchant-branded mobile payments powered by PaymentOne to their games today by contacting Seana Cavanagh at scavanagh@livegamer.com.

MINNEAPOLIS – MobilityWire® – November 3, 2011

2012 is not 2008. In 2000 all successful campaigns had a website. In 2008 all successful campaigns had a Facebook page. In 2010 all successful campaigns used Twitter and text. It’s 2012, and today, all successful campaigns need a mobile app.

Today, most mobile apps are just mini-version of web sites. Rather than just providing news and events about the campaign, mobile apps should provide tools and data that enable people to take action or solve a problem.

The versatility of a modern mobile app means it can collect analytics, target and track supporters, engage voters with social media, conduct polls and surveys and encourage people to vote on Election Day.

“It’s about the call to action,” said Chris Ruff, CEO of UIEvolution. “With the capabilities of mobile apps, we can now develop a tool that calls people to action and collects data for use by a business or campaign. Now that is a return on investment.”

“Advertising and messaging has changed. People no longer want to be talked at. They want to be a part of the conversation; especially in the political arena where they are frustrated and want real change,” said Cami Zimmer, President of Campaign Touch, a mobile strategy agency.

If campaigns want to be successful at reaching their targeted audience and have that message be favorably accepted, they need to remember this: 17% of consumers trust traditional advertising while 90% trust peer recommendations. A successful message today means pushing that message to your supporters who then virally push it to their peers.

“The 2012 election cycle will see wins and losses based on this pro-viral philosophy,” adds Zimmer.

Digital advertising was snubbed years ago, yet campaigns are now allocating 5-10% of marketing dollars for online advertising. Mobile apps and text messaging is here today and should be part of any 2012 winning strategy.

Some will argue and say their target audiences aren’t using smartphones. They are.

45 to 65 years olds are the fastest age range for smartphone adoption (Pew Research)

1 in 2 people will own a smartphone by the end of 2011.

Over 60% of moms have smartphones (eMarketer)

Over 59% of Americans households with an income of $75,000+ per year own at least one smartphone

Refusing to realize the magnitude of the mobile universe is dangerous, as most traditional campaigning is no longer reaching its desired audience. Today 30% of people don’t have a landline phone (Citi Investment Research), but robo-calls to landlines are still a principle component of any GOTV effort. And 31% of people don’t watch live TV, yet very expensive TV advertising is still popular.

While robo-calls and TV advertising are tried and true and still have an impact, so do mobile apps. In the 2010 cycle, the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s (NRSC) mobile app showed the following statistics:

Mobile ads had an average click through rate (CTR) of .23%, over double the CTR of an average digital campaign.

On Election Day 2010, mobile ads got a 6% higher click through rate than digital ads and were 39% cheaper.

On Election Day 2010, 65% of impressions and 67% of the clicks on the polling place ads were from mobile devices.

There was a staggering 20% click through rate on these ads.

What Can a Political Mobile App Really do?
If developed correctly, your mobile app should:

Provide immediate return on investment (ROI), providing valuable data on your voters and their peers

Enable the user to take an action – make a donation, find a place to vote, invite a friend to join

Engage and re-engage supporters with interactive communication and messaging

“For a campaign, what’s most important? DATA,” said Anthony Welcher of 21Strat Public Affairs. “Imagine the vast power of voter ID’s that cost you nothing but the inexpensive development of the app that can be used for Get Out The Vote (GOTV), data collection like who your supporters are, what they are interested in, if they plan to vote, if they voted, who they voted for, as well as alerts, text campaigns, viral messaging, surveys/polls and more.”

Politics is about the candidate, the message and the support. In the end, all that really matters is 50% plus one vote on Election Day. Over 50% of people will have a smartphone in their pocket or purse on Election Day. If you’re not in the mobile game now, you better hurry. The election is only one year away.

iCashé is the first mobile wallet people can use today to make purchases from over 100 participating merchant brands

PORTLAND, Ore. and CTIA Enterprise and Applications in SAN DIEGO – MobilityWire® – October 12, 2011

Tyfone (www.tyfone.com) announced today the availability of iCashé™, a new mobile wallet and eCommerce engine that for the first time delivers purchasing power through any mobile banking application. Built entirely on top of Tyfone’s award-winning u4ia® mobile financial services platform, iCashé is the industry’s only service to blend comprehensive mobile banking features with convenient consumer purchasing, gifting and loyalty programs. With the option of adding Tyfone’s SideTap™ microSD secure element technology, iCashé also provides contactless NFC payments and the highest level of secure identity management.

“While financial institutions recognize the need to provide mobile banking, the watch and wait approach many have taken towards mobile wallet services sets the stage for disintermediation by others including Google and ISIS,” said Andy Schmidt, research director at TowerGroup, a Corporate Executive Board company. “Combining mobile wallet with mobile banking gives banks – and merchants – the opportunity to avoid this disintermediation.”

The first iCashé feature to debut is a highly convenient commerce service available through a mobile banking application that allows people to purchase, send and redeem merchant gift cards from over 100 different name brand merchants including: Barnes & Noble, Fandango and Zappos.com. With iCashé, gift cards can be purchased and stored on a person’s mobile phone for personal use, or sent to anyone in the United States via email or text message. iCashé requires a person to be logged into a trusted mobile banking app, making purchasing highly efficient, secure and as easy as checking an account balance.

“iCashé is the first wallet service that allows people to use mobile banking for commerce,” said Siva Narendra, Tyfone’s president of North America. “A bank ATM card has limited value if a person can only use it to check balances or transfer funds; the same is true for a mobile banking application. By providing consumers a mobile application that combines banking with commerce capabilities, we’re not only putting the value and utility of a real wallet into a mobile app, we’re strengthening the bond between consumers and financial institutions. If banks give their customers something of value, it’s fair for them to make money from it. iCashé is the first service giving financial institutions revenue generating opportunities from mobile banking.”

Though Tyfone has built an award-winning and fully-featured mobile banking solution, there is no requirement for banks and other financial institutions to use Tyfone Mobile Banking in order to offer iCashé to their customers. Any financial institution can offer customers using electronic and mobile banking convenient commerce services built on top of iCashé, and all financial institutions using iCashé will immediately enjoy a new revenue stream based on incremental transaction fees from iCashé purchases.

“OnPoint Community Credit Union members who use Tyfone’s leading edge mobile banking service find great utility from it and have a greater volume of banking transactions,” said Jim Armstrong, OnPoint’s senior vice president of technology. “Giving people the ability to make purchases through OnPoint’s mobile banking app is a logical technology evolution. Once the retail NFC infrastructure is in place, our mobile banking members using Tyfone’s iCashé will likewise be ready to make contactless payments through our banking app.”

Tyfone’s patented contactless payments technology lets people customize a secure digital wallet, just as they do with the wallet in their purse or pocket today. Tyfone’s SideTap microSD memory cards allow most phones on the market today to be enabled with contactless NFC payments. Tyfone’s secure ID management meets or exceeds the security and authentication requirements for corporate mobile banking and high value transactions; and for consumers, financial institutions can extend superior security technology engineered for mobile handsets to also include tablets and personal computers through the use of Tyfone’s SideTap or SideSafe™ microSD cards.

More information about Tyfone’s iCashé solution can be found at: www.iCashe.com.

Funds from this multimillion dollar funding round will be used to establish mobeam’s light based communications (LBC) technology as a new industry standard allowing mobile phones to interact with point of sale (POS) technology. mobeam is also using these new funds to accelerate business development efforts with major consumer and retail brands for mobile couponing and other broad mobile commerce initiatives.

mobeam will drive evolution of mobile couponing and ticketing with new light based communications that enable mobile phones to send information to the more than 165 million red laser scanners already in use around the world

CUPERTINO, Calif. – MobilityWire® – October 3, 2011

mobeam, inc. (www.mobeam.com) announced today that it has closed a $4.9 million Series A venture round, receiving funding from yet2Ventures, Samsung Ventures and Mitsui, together with other independent investors. mobeam’s patented technology overcomes the technical barrier preventing mobile phones from interacting with the laser scanners used at retail locations around the world.

“Laser scanners are used in all major retail locations throughout the world, yet no current mobile technology can communicate with them, except for mobeam,” said Ben duPont, general partner of yet2Ventures. “Increasingly, mobile phones are the centerpiece of everyone’s daily lives, but in order to deliver a complete digital commerce experience they must communicate universally with scanners at point of sale. That’s the beauty of mobeam; ‘mobeaming’ a barcode works accurately and reliably every time, and it makes the technologies retailers already have far more useful while adding a new layer of intelligence gathering for retailers and brands.”

Due to the way mobile handset screens are constructed, even the most vibrantly displayed barcode cannot be read by the commonly used laser scanners found at point of sale in most retailers. mobeam technology affordably adapts existing mobile technology to already deployed retail POS infrastructure, opening the door to a wide range of previously impossible mobile commerce programs and services.

mobeam’s patented light based communication (LBC) technology utilizes LED technology already used on the vast majority of handsets to transform barcodes into a beam of light that every laser scanner can read.

“mobeam’s technology addresses virtually every POS environment,” said Chris Sellers, CEO of mobeam. “Not only is mobeam the only way to use light to interact with a laser scanner, our technology can also simultaneously display 2D images and initiate NFC transmission, making it possible for retailers, brands and device manufacturers to rethink mobile commerce. mobeam is solving a significant problem for consumers, brands, retailers and every other player along the retail value chain. The potential for mobeam’s light based communications technology – from mobile couponing to ticketing to mobile content – promises to be a tremendous industry game changer.”

About mobeam
mobeam, inc. is transforming mobile commerce with its unique and patented light based communications technology. Overcoming the technical barrier preventing mobile phones from interacting with laser scanners at checkout, mobeam’s technology provides universal access at point of sale (POS), enabling the transmission of coupons, gift cards, tickets and other barcode data at retailers worldwide. mobeam’s technology powers new capabilities for existing mobile phone designs, and requires no changes to retailer POS infrastructure. mobeam is headquartered in Cupertino, California.
White paper outlines how remote payments, not NFC, will provide lucrative opportunities for mobile operators

BARCELONA, Spain – MobilityWire® – September 27, 2011

A white paper commissioned by Vesta Corporation, a global pioneer and leader in electronic payments, highlights the significant opportunity that remote payments present to mobile operators. The white paper, compiled by Informa Telecoms & Media, reveals that end-user revenues from m-commerce services, delivered over cellular networks, are expected to grow to more than US $22.5 billion by 2014. These m-commerce services will include mobile banking, remote mobile payments, local mobile payments and mobile money transfers.

According to Informa Telecoms & Media, money transfer services are expected to drive end-user revenues of six billion dollars by 2014. This represents a significant and immediate commercial opportunity for mobile operators compared to NFC technology, which requires a large upfront investment and is expected to take at least three or four years to reach critical mass.

Mobile operators continue to try and identify a strong position in the content and services value chain, particularly as the applications market is currently dominated by over-the-top (OTT) providers. These same OTT players are also trying to seize the NFC market initiative from the operator community. The study reveals that having a suite of m-commerce services will be instrumental in helping operators increase customer stickiness, reduce churn and drive incremental revenues in the longer-term.

Mobile operators are perfectly placed to capitalize on this market opportunity. They have the strategic capability to use their existing prepaid charging experience as a basis to develop airtime transfer services. These can then be extended to deliver mobile payments and money transfer offerings as demonstrated by leading operators in developed and developing markets.

“By driving the adoption of mobile wallet functionality through prepaid top-up, content purchases and bill payment services, operators can increase their subscribers’ comfort levels with m-commerce transactions,” said Joshua Rush, VP Marketing at Vesta Corporation. “This will enable operators to position themselves at the heart of the m-commerce value chain, ahead of over-the-top players and in pole position to claim a significant share of the projected revenues.”

According to Informa Telecoms & Media, enabling m-commerce services can also help operators benefit from the growth of the mobile applications market. Many over-the-top providers launching app-stores are interested in using operator billing to generate a large number of paid-for transactions, despite having to share revenue with the operators. Therefore, operators can generate additional revenues by enabling the billing and payment for third party mobile applications, assuming they can negotiate competitive rates of commission with the application store providers.

“M-commerce clearly presents exciting opportunities to mobile operators,” says Shailendra Pandey, senior analyst, mobile content and applications at Informa Telecoms & Media. “It makes sense for operators to place more focus on utilizing their existing top-up and billing systems to drive m-commerce market growth.”

Pandey continues: “to do this effectively, it is important that operators form partnerships with other players that have specialist knowledge and proven technology in the m-commerce and e-commerce space. This will ensure they develop and deploy secure and attractive services for their subscribers.”

Bitstream’s cloud computing architecture, now available as a software development kit, enables robust Web applications that run on the widest number of mobile phones

MARLBOROUGH, Mass. – MobilityWire® – April 13, 2011

Bitstream Inc. (NASDAQ: BITS) today announced that one of Asia’s premier provider of online news, information, communication, entertainment and shopping services, is using the BOLT™ SDK as the core technology for mobilizing its next generation email service, making the service available to mobile phones of all types. Based on the award-winning cloud computing architecture that has made BOLT the mobile browser of choice for more than 20 million people worldwide, the BOLT SDK enables carriers, handset manufacturers and other service providers to build feature rich Java ME applications that can work just as well as on entry-level feature phones as they do on high-end smartphones. The BOLT SDK lets any company with Web-based content, such as media companies, produce mobile Java apps that are ready to run on billions of mobile phones already in the market.

“Although mobile phones are becoming ‘smarter’ and more capable, the vast majority of mobile devices still do not have the processing power and storage needed for feature-rich applications,” said Sampo Kaasila, vice president of research and development at Bitstream. “The magic behind the BOLT browser is its cloud computing architecture that places the processing power and the resulting ability to execute advanced features inside the cloud, allowing even the most basic of mobile phones to deliver superior Web browsing. This same cloud computing architecture can be used to enable a wide variety of other applications, and Bitstream is making it available to other service providers as a software development kit.”

The BOLT mobile browser, widely regarded as the industry’s most feature-rich mobile browser, delivers faster page load times along with a vast array of capabilities normally associated with desktop computer browsers to any type of mobile phone platform. To achieve both its speed and advanced features, Bitstream engineered a cloud-computing architecture that enables all of the BOLT browser’s capabilities. This cloud-computing architecture is available to service providers as the BOLT SDK, which can be used to build robust Web applications delivered through their own custom user interfaces. The BOLT SDK, which supports Web apps written in HTML5, JavaScript and other Web programming languages, supports the same features employed by BOLT such as downloading files, desktop style layout and delivering high performance on resource constrained devices.

Bitstream’s customers leveraged the BOLT SDK to produce a mobile email service designed to reach and be used by more than 500 million Java ME mobile phone users in Asia so people can send and receive email, look up contacts, manage their calendars and perform a host of other personal information management tasks on their phones just as they could from their PCs. By using the BOLT SDK, this next generation email service works across virtually all mobile phone platforms and nearly all mobile phones in the market (close to 200 models from over two dozen manufacturers), including all entry level phones. By using the BOLT SDK as its core application technology, this new email service can support new phone platforms and models as they are introduced.

Announced at the CTIA Wireless conference in March 2011, the BOLT SDK can be used by any service provider looking to create Web-enabled applications with the widest possible mobile phone support. The BOLT SDK is completely customizable and depending on the required application capabilities, can be configured in terms of package size and memory usage. Wireless operators, handset manufacturers and service providers should contact boltsales@bitstream.com to learn more about the BOLT SDK.

About BOLT
Licensed by handset manufacturers and wireless operators around the world, the BOLT mobile browser delivers PC-style browsing with advanced features such as tabbed browsing, streaming audio and video, and integrated social networking in a relatively small application that is also the industry’s most feature rich mobile browser. BOLT is available for Java ME, BREW and BlackBerry devices and has already been installed on thousands of different handset models. BOLT’s WebKit based cloud computing infrastructure integrates easily with carriers’ billing and OSS systems, and significantly reduces infrastructure costs with its best-in-class data compression. The BOLT SDK allows any service provider the ability to create custom Web-enabled applications that run on the widest possible number of mobile phones. Wireless operators, handset OEMs and service providers should contact boltsales@bitstream.com to learn more about BOLT.

International CTIA WIRELESS® 2011 – ORLANDO, Fla. and LANCASTER, Penn. – MobilityWire® – March 22, 2011

appMobi® (www.appmobi.com) today announced the addition of four mobile Web services to its comprehensive Platform as a Service (PaaS) mobile app ecosystem solution. Through its free cross platform developer toolkit, the appMobi XDK, appMobi now provides mobile application and Web developers the most complete integrated set of hosted tools and services.

appMobi’s new mobile Web services – including 1Touch™ frictionless payments, pushMobi™ multimedia push notifications, statMobi™ mobile analytics, and LiveUpdates™ over-the-air app updates – join a comprehensive suite of tools enabling any developer to create engaging and monetizable mobile apps, enable mobile commerce and analyze usage.

The appMobi XDK provides integrated tools for fully testing and publishing HTML-based code as either native apps or WebApps. Through the XDK, appMobi’s mobile Web services are uniformly available to mobile Web, Apple iOS, Google Android and BlackBerry developers. Apps built with the appMobi XDK, whether native or not, can all utilize native device features, such as the accelerometer, camera, GPS and file system. With the addition of these new mobile Web services, developers can use the appMobi XDK to easily augment existing apps or build new apps that go well beyond the capabilities of currently available apps:

1Touch Frictionless Payments – Selected as a finalist in the 2011 CTIA E-Tech Awards, the 1Touch payment technology enables “single touch” in-app purchases within apps or websites through a highly-secure mobile wallet on the device and a few lines of HTML code. Though Apple’s “Paid Subscriptions” and Google’s “One Pass” systems make in-app purchasing of virtual goods easy, they don’t address the buying of physical goods, nor do they work on the mobile Web. appMobi’s 1Touch complements these app stores with one touch purchasing of physical or virtual goods either from within apps or via the mobile Web. 1Touch integrates with payment gateways such as Authorize.Net and PayPal, and with carrier billing. 1Touch brings the ease and convenience of secure frictionless payments to the entire mobile space, finally opening the mobile market to merchants selling physical goods.

pushMobi Multimedia Push Notifications – Push messaging is a proven and powerful way to engage users through mobile apps, alerting them to news, information and messages. With pushMobi, appMobi has evolved push messaging to a new level, delivering rich media messages with video, audio and HTML5 content. The pushMobi online dashboard (which integrates with any ad campaign management software) lets content providers target groups of users based on device, geography, demographics and other criteria.

statMobi Mobile Analytics – Advertisers and webmasters depend on analytics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content. statMobi provides app developers the first comprehensive set of analytic tools for measuring app usage, both online and offline. statMobi mobile analytics tracks app starts, clickstreams, push messaging reception and response, and payments made, among other data points. statMobi continuously captures metrics even when a device is offline during app use, then sends them once the device is back online. statMobi is the only “always-on” mobile analytics tool.

LiveUpdates OTA App Updating – Apps created using the appMobi XDK can now push new content, features, bug fixes and new versions over-the-air right to users’ devices, without requiring an app store update. With LiveUpdates, developers can better ensure that their users have the latest content and newest versions of their apps.

appMobi is at the vanguard of mobile application innovation. At Mobile World Congress in February 2011, the company unveiled MobiUs™ – the first-of-its-kind mobile Web browser technology. Mobius allows developers to create Web applications – or WebApps – that exceed the functionality possible with native apps produced without the appMobi XDk, putting the entire World Wide Web on equal footing with app stores as the distribution channel for discovering, downloading and interacting with mobile apps.

Attendees of CTIA WIRELESS 2011, held March 22 to 24 in Orlando, Florida, can visit appMobi’s booth 3196, located inside the Apps World section of the exhibit floor, for a demonstration of the entire appMobi PaaS.

About appMobi
appMobi® provides highly integrated cloud-based tools and services for supporting large-scale developer communities and creating and operating complete mobile application ecosystems. By leveraging the commonly used Web programming languages of HTML, CSS and JavaScript, and the open Web, appMobi’s development tools allow app developers to “write once” and publish anywhere, either native app stores or via the Web. appMobi’s turnkey, white label platform-as-a-service offering enables carriers, device manufacturers, and brands to create mobile app ecosystems under their own brand.
