Flixor Inc. receives patent for “Personalizing a Video” technology that automates the process of replacing, inserting and removing actors, objects and backgrounds in still and moving filmed media

Flixor Inc., the visual effects company that can put any person into any video, announced today it was issued a patent for its “Personalizing a Video” technology by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Based on visual effects technologies used in blockbuster feature films, Flixor created a fully automated method for turning any person into a “digital actor” and realistically replacing actors in any filmed media with animated digital versions of consumer images.
Flixor’s high-speed 3D rendering process makes it possible for consumers to appear in popular media, from feature films to music videos, side-by-side with their favorite celebrities. Complementing this feature, Flixor technology can also insert custom product placements in the same media. The new patent protects Flixor’s proprietary technology automating the process of replacing, inserting, and removing people, objects and backgrounds in still and moving imagery.

For example, a Flixed music video can become a video ringtone that not only lets consumers flaunt their “performance” to friends, but also serves as an advertisement; every call simultaneously delivers a promotion for the song in the music video along with any product placements that might also be inserted into the video.
Flixor’s technology has been carefully planned to extend and impact all forms of visual media.
