Nominations are being accepted in 13 technology categories plus three special award categories – Rookie of the Year, Most Important M&A Transaction, and Product of the year.

Winners of the 2011 Mobility Awards will be announced at the Wireless Innovators Dinner, co-located this spring with CTIA Wireless 2011 in Orlando, Florida. Emceed by Dr. Purdy, the dinner will be held Tuesday, March 22 at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando. The dinner will be attended by senior executives representing wireless operators, handset makers, wireless device manufacturers, software and service providers, venture capitalists, investment bankers, industry analysts, and select members of the press.
Nominations for the 2011 Mobility Awards are currently being accepted via email in the following 16 categories: Tablets, Smartphones, eBook Readers, Technology Innovation, Voice Processing, Wireless Communications, Software, Enterprise Mobility, Messaging & Alerts, Security, Services, Mobile Marketing, Mobile Commerce, Rookie of the Year, Most Important M&A Transaction of the year, and Product of the year.

The Mobility Award selection committee, made up of mobile and wireless industry analysts, editors and bloggers, will judge nominated companies to determine a winner in each of the categories. There is no charge to be nominated or selected, and all winners will be included in a press release issued after the Wireless Innovators Dinner on March 22. Winning companies also have the option to purchase a leaded crystal 2011 Mobility Award vase and/or license the use of the 2011 Mobility Awards logo and brand for their use online and in marketing programs.
Dr. Purdy will be evaluating companies at the ShowStoppers CES press event on Wednesday, January 6 at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas. He will also evaluate companies at the ShowStoppers press event held at the GSMA Mobile World Congress press event on February 13th in Barcelona.
