Ossia encourages supporters to cast their votes for Cota™ on GeekWire.com as it contends for Innovation of the Year at GeekWire’s annual celebration
REDMOND, Wash., April 20, 2015 /MobilityWire/ — Ossia, Inc. (www.ossiainc.com) today announced that its groundbreaking Cota™ remote wireless power system has been named a finalist for Innovation of the Year at the 2015 GeekWire Awards.
After a panel of judges advanced Cota to the community voting round, Ossia will lean on its supporters to cast votes at GeekWire.com from April 15-27. The Innovation of the Year contender with the most votes will be crowned — alongside the winners of 12 other categories — at the GeekWire Awards in Seattle, Wash. on May 7.
Now in its seventh year, the GeekWire Awards is one of the most anticipated events in the Seattle tech community, bringing together hundreds to celebrate innovation and the entrepreneurial spirit. The event takes place at Seattle’s Experience Music Project Museum.
“We are both honored and delighted that our Cota technology is being mentioned as a game-changing innovation in a region that has produced its fair share of them,” said Hatem Zeine, CEO of Ossia and inventor of the Cota wireless power solution. “Many of the technologies featured in GeekWire each day stand to benefit from truly wire-free charging. We hope the tech community’s continued support during this next round of online voting will propel us to the winner’s circle on May 7.”
Cota is the first publicly demonstrated remote wireless power system, and the only one capable of charging multiple devices simultaneously without using line-of-sight at distances as far away as 30 feet.
