RGB Networks VMG Receives ‘Best Digital Video Processing Technology’ Accolade at CSI Awards 2010

RGB Networks

RGB Networks, the leader in network video processing, today announced that its Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) product has been named ‘Best Digital Video Processing Technology’ at the prestigious CSI Awards 2010.

The awards, held Friday night during IBC in Amsterdam, are judged independently of CSI by a panel of experts that includes practicing and former heads of engineering and operations from some of the world’s most important network operators, well-respected consultants, and senior industry analysts. The awards are some of the most comprehensive and competitive in the world, designed to reward technical and product marketing excellence in the cable, satellite, terrestrial broadcasting and IPTV sectors.

RGB beat off stiff competition from four other shortlisted vendors to take the 2010 best digital video processing technology award.  Launched at last year’s IBC, RGB’s Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) product line offers the industry’s first high-density, carrier-class platform for the delivery of advanced video services.  With integrated transcoding and ad insertion, the VMG eases the transition to a monetised three-screen environment.

“It is a huge honour for our product to be recognized as best-in-class by the CSI Awards,” said Jef Graham, CEO of RGB Networks. “With three award wins for the VMG in the last year, this latest accolade reflects the interest and positive feedback we’re receiving from customers around the world and reinforces the industry’s need for a robust yet flexible multi-screen solution.”
