Products Being Shown Include RGB’s Award-Winning Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG), an Ideal Solution for Multiscreen Video Delivery

RGB Networks, the leading provider of scalable multiscreen IP video delivery solutions, will show its latest award-winning solutions to Indian video service providers (VSPs) next week at Convergence India in Delhi (booth C-173), demonstrating how they can deliver new multiscreen services, generate new revenues through multiscreen advertising insertion and take advantage of the Cloud to offer personal video recorder (PVR) services to their subscribers.

The Indian multichannel video market is large and growing quickly as VSPs strive to offer more services to their subscribers. These services include live and on-demand programming, expanding channel line-ups and multiscreen delivery to TVs, PCs and mobile devices. VSPs are also eager to generate more ad revenue through the delivery of increasingly targeted ads to their subscribers.

“Indian video service providers can benefit from our unmatched expertise in helping some of the world’s largest VSPs launch – and expand – their multiscreen TV Everywhere services,” said Simone Sassoli, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at RGB Networks. “We have developed our award-winning line of multiscreen delivery solutions specifically to help VSPs quickly launch, expand, streamline and monetize their multiscreen deployments for the maximum return-on-investment.”

Products demonstrated at Convergence India will include RGB’s award-winning Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG), the industry’s highest density transcoding platform. The VMG is an ideal solution for Indian VSPs, combining outstanding transcoding performance with support for the PAL standard to enable delivery of hundreds of digital channels with outstanding picture quality. Additionally, the VMG’s carrier-class chassis and hot-swappable processing blades make it a highly reliable, cost-effective and ‘future proof’ solution that can be upgraded with new blades to support new codecs, such as HEVC.
Show attendees can also learn how RGB’s Ad Insertion for Multiscreen (AIM) solution enables them to migrate to a proven model for monetizing video services in the multiscreen environment. AIM utilizes advanced adaptive bitrate (ABR) streaming to facilitate hyper-targeted advertising down to the neighborhood, device or even specific individual.

RGB will also demonstrate its new CloudXtream nPVR, the company’s next-generation, Cloud-based network personal video recorder (nPVR) solution for VSPs. CloudXtream nPVR is the only turnkey approach that enables VSPs to deploy an end-to-end nPVR solution in their own datacenter, hosted private cloud or public cloud.
