TrustSphere is a Finalist for the 2012 Red Herring Top 100 Asia Award

Pioneer of ‘Messaging Intelligence’ Solutions Continues to be Recognized in Industry-Leading Corporate and Product Awards Programs

TrustSphere (, a pioneer of next-generation solutions for ensuring the security, integrity and reliability of the messaging systems that organizations rely upon, today announced it has been selected as a finalist for Red Herring’s Top 100 Asia award, a prestigious list honoring the year’s most promising private technology ventures from the Asian business region.

The Red Herring editorial team selected the most innovative companies from a pool of hundreds across Asia. The nominees are evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, quality of management, execution of strategy, and integration into their respective industries.

This unique assessment of potential is complemented by a review of the actual track record and standing of a company, which allows Red Herring to see past the ‘buzz’ and make the list a valuable instrument for discovering and advocating the greatest business opportunities in the industry.

“This year was very rewarding,” said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring. “The global economic situation has abated and there are many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products. We had a very difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists. TrustSphere shows great promise therefore deserves to be among the finalists. Now we’re faced with the difficult task of selecting the Top 100 winners of Red Herring Asia. We know that the 2012 crop will grow into some amazing companies that are sure to make an impact.”

“Being named a finalist in such a well-regarded and highly coveted awards program is tremendously gratifying and a testament to the success we at TrustSphere have worked so hard to achieve,” said Manish Goel, CEO of TrustSphere. “Additionally, reaching the finals demonstrates that industry watchers clearly recognize that the email integrity and security issues that TrustSphere helps governments, businesses and other organizations address are relevant across the globe, not just in any one region.”

Finalists for the 2012 edition of the Red Herring 100 Asia award are selected based on their technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health. During the several months leading up to the announcement, hundreds of companies in the telecommunications, security, Web 2.0, software, hardware, biotech, mobile and other industries completed their submissions to qualify for the award.

The finalists are invited to present their winning strategies at the Red Herring Asia Forum in Hong Kong, September 10-12, 2012. The Top 100 winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony the evening of September 12 at the event.

TrustSphere is a recognized leader in ‘Messaging Intelligence’ and its unique award-winning TrustVault solution prevents legitimate – often business-critical and time-sensitive – emails from being incorrectly quarantined as spam, a phenomenon commonly known as email ‘false positives.’ The impact of false positives can be substantial now that email is the most important and fundamental method of communication in today’s enterprise, enabling individuals and groups to work efficiently to execute critical business process throughout an organization. The loss – or even just the delay – of critical emails results in missed sales opportunities, irritated customers and other situations that can disrupt business operations and impact a company’s reputation. Osterman Research estimates that false positives cost organizations as much as US$230 per employee annually.

TrustVault, which was recently launched in the U.S., has been proven in deployments with leading organizations worldwide. In addition to preventing email false positives, TrustVault enables organizations to combat other email-based threats to business operations such as: spear phishing attacks, distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks and even socially-based DDoS attacks that target specific individuals.
